Municipal Court General Rules and Dress Code
The dignity of the Court is to be respected and maintained at all times.
All cell phones and pagers must be turned OFF or placed on vibrate while court is in session.
We ask everyone to be respectful of others by making prior childcare arrangements for children under the age of 10 or must stay outside the courtroom.
Everyone in the courtroom, unless physically challenged, must rise when the judges enter and remain standing until the presiding judge invites everyone to be seated.
Court Security Officers and Court Staff are authorized to open and inspect any item brought into the Municipal Complex or courtroom.
Repeated entrances and departures are to be avoided.
Weapons, mace, knives, sharp objects and any item deemed not appropriate will not be allowed in the Aragon Municipal Complex or Courtroom.
Doorways and hallways should be kept clear at all times.
No person under the influence of drugs or intoxicating beverages will be allowed into the courtroom or adjacent areas.
All participants and any friends or family accompanying them to Municipal Court must be in dress in accordance with our Dress Code, or will not be allowed in the Courtroom. No hats, caps, bandanas, etc. No tube tops, tank tops, midriff, halter tops, short shorts or any other revealing clothing. No obscene or profane language or illustrations on clothing, or gang-related clothing. Clothing must cover all undergarments for both men and women. No bare feet, or flip flops.
The Court reserves the right to refuse to hear any case from those who fail to abide by the rules and dress code.
